Professor Minerva McGonagall
The worst part about teaching...
Is dealing with the hormones.
-Professor M. McGonagall
Oh, I'm sorry, professor. It must be hard to be a leader figure in such a hectic school.
I now understand your problem with hormones. It's hard enough to deal with them while they're happening. However, dealing with them second hand, and on magic?
You have no idea. I'd go crazy if I wasn't, as Severus and Albus so mildly put it, a 'workaholic'.
Someone's got to get the job done, Minerva.
You certainly are very respected for what you do.
Thank you, and what pn earth are you doing up this late?
I've had butterflies lately. I haven't been able to sleep well for the past few nights.
Ah. I understand now. Insomnia. I just sent along an owl with some Hot Chocolate - it's a special recipe of Albus's that he gave me when I first started teaching. Drink it. It's an instant cure for insomnia.
Stars come out at *night* Minerva. When else would the astronomer be awake?
Oh! That too... Thank you Severus.
You need more sleep when you're younger, Severus, something you found out a little too late. She has to get up early, too. She still teaches during the day. And I've never seen her awake at night before this, only you. I was curious.
I usually keep to my own durring the night.
Is Severus always up this late?
He's had a case of insomnia since he was born. Yes, he's always up this late. Both of us are, though I'm usually working. And so is Argus. I believe most of the rest of the staff actually sleeps.
Okay, dear, that's it. Come to my office. Now. There are some things (people) we need to have a little discussion on.
Why am I the topic of discussion? She does not need to know of my sleeping habits. Ever. For as long as you have known me, Minerva, you have never understood my habits, do not assume to now.
